Our seminars are offered in sequentially designed levels to develop, grow and foster competent, confident and courageous Coaches and Coach Leaders. Each seminar is 4 days in length, 24 hours face-to-face instructional learning plus follow-up learning options.  With each seminar, you receive:

Level 1 Coaching – Option 1:
Leadership Coaching for High Performance

Coaching is an incredibly powerful way for educational leaders, like you, to make an immediate, significant impact in the schools that they lead. Coaching has been proven to transform relationships, increase learning, and dramatically change school cultures.

This seminar is designed specifically for district and school leaders who are committed to engaging in conversations that lead to trans-formational changes.

Essential components of this highly successful seminar include:

  • Principles of effective leadership coaching
  • Coaching language that produces reflective practice and increased performance
  • Effective coaching behaviors of committed listening, paraphrasing, and presuming positive intent
  • Feedback that empowers, encourages, and effectively communicates
  • Coaching labs designed to accelerate knowledge and skill acquisition

Level 1 Coaching – Option 2:
Instructional Coaching – Essential for School Success

This seminar is designed to support the work of campus coaches, instructional specialists, and content facilitators as they deepen knowledge and skills about the role and work of a Coach.

This experience will strengthen and deepen the knowledge, skills and beliefs of any position responsible for supporting others, building relationships, and ultimately increasing
performance results.

Learning will focus on:

  • the essential tools and skills of coaching
  • language that promotes positive thinking and problem solving
  • feedback that accelerates growth
  • conversation tools and frameworks that increase effectiveness and efficiency
  • the principles of coaching
  • current research from neuroscience about why the brain needs coaching
  • current research on trust

Level 1 Coaching – Option 3:
Coaching Strategies for Powerful Leading

Coaching is transformative. It is a dynamic process that requires continuous reflection, revision and re-energizing of one’s attitudes, knowledge and skills. This course is an examination of one’s thinking about priorities, goals and purpose. Five strategies are examined: creating possibilities, determining purpose, communicating powerfully, taking responsibility and celebrating success.

Successful leaders will learn how coaching brings clarity and purpose to their roles and relationships.

Essential components of this highly successful seminar include:

  • Principles of effective coach-leaders
  • Coaching language that produces reflective practice and increased performance
  • Effective strategies for creating possibilities, determining purpose, connecting powerfully, taking responsibility, and celebrating success.
  • Powerful conversation tools
  • Coaching labs for deep practice designed to accelerate knowledge and skill acquisition

Level II – Powerful Coaching

This session is for leaders who want to deeply embed coaching behaviors into their leadership identity and style. This course is targeted and intended as a major step toward certification as a certified coach by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Content will correlate to and require application of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of the ICF core coaching competencies.

The outcomes of this seminar are to assist leaders in the demonstration of their defined coaching skills; to increase energy channeled toward internalization and integration of coaching behaviors as the default approach for leadership and leading; and to emphasize a sharpened focus on the relationship of the applied competencies and transformative results.

Prerequisite: This session is designed to internalize powerful coaching skills learned in one of these previous sessions:

  • Leadership Coaching for High Performance
  • Instructional Coaching: Essential for School Success
  • Coaching Strategies for Powerful Leading

Expectations for attending a Level II session include:

  • Attendance in a Level I seminar
  • Coaching goals with evidence of progress, e.g. journal entries, accountability partner, coach one another with feedback, use of coach moves/impact forms, coaching circles, summary of reflections and/or self-assessments
  • Log of coaching practice to include contact name, skill used, and reflection of growth

Level III – Advanced Coaching

This seminar is designed for educators who seek certification as a professional coach from the International Coach Federation (ICF). Content will focus on the depth of integration of coach-specific skills into one’s identity as a coach. Learners will experience a continuous feedback cycle beginning with self-assessment. Working beside an ICF certified coach, learners will prepare, coach, and reflect on the development of their own their own skills.

The outcomes of this seminar are to develop coaches who:

  • are grounded in the beliefs and assumptions of the core competencies of ICF
  • consistently utilize the essential skills
  • offer feedback that sustains and supports the development of others, and
  • emphasize the inherent relationship between coaching and transformative results

Prerequisite: The purpose of this session is to increase one’s depth and skillfulness as a coach building upon Powerful Coaching, Level II.

Expectations for attending a Level III session include:

  • Attendance in a Level I and a Level II seminar
  • Coaching goals with evidence of progress e.g. journal entries, accountability partner, coach one another with feedback, use of coach moves/impact forms, coaching circles, summary of reflections and/or self-assessments
  • Log of coaching practice to include contact name, skill used, and reflection of growth

In the event that there is a need to cancel a registration, RCG will refund all money up to two weeks prior to the date the seminar begins. Any cancellations taking place less than two weeks from the date the seminar begins will be charged a $75 late cancellation fee, or an alternative may be sent in place of the person canceling, if the alternative meets all course prerequisites.
