Results Coaching – Strategies for Impacting Performance and Results

Recently I was visiting with a Superintendent about how he might continue to support his district leaders to achieve the ever increasing results while minimizing the frustration and over whelmed attitudes that can often be symptoms of high performing organizations.  Because we know from neuroscience that pressure and stress often produces behaviors that are not complimentary to exposing our best selves, we talked about the journey of becoming a “coach leader,” one who lifts up the best in others — their best behaviors, their best attitudes, their best performances — while simultaneously demonstrating strong characteristics of effective leadership.

Results Coaching offers long tested strategies for impacting performance and results.  It works because the leader or leaders, whatever the role, have a new identity.  The identity walks in total alignment to the single purpose of building capacity in others… kids and adults.  This new identity brings a new mindset about what people need in order to change and grow and how to have conversations that lift others to their very best self.  Because the coach leader is intentional about their belief and support for others, their language aligns with what is witnessed in their actions.  We have time tested core knowledge that people soar from their strengths and that almost all people want to do their best, and will, when they feel the confidence and respect of their leaders.  Results Coaching supports the Coach Leader in holding up the clear standards and expectations about our purpose and how we will walk the path that leads to high levels of results for the students and children.  The stakes are high, the impact is our future.
