Napoleon Hill was one of the first American authors who emphasized personal development in his writings. Moreover, he focused on the power of positivity as the source of personal success.

As school leaders we have the power through our language of influencing not only the adults with whom we work, but also the students in our schools who are growing into our next generation of leaders.

Think about how you interact with others. How often are your statements and questions demonstrating authentic caring, support, and your core values? On a scale of 1-10 (1 being lowest and 10 highest), what score will you give yourself for how often your interactions today expressed positivity and caused deep reflection in others? What are you thinking of doing differently tomorrow that will bring your score up at least one point?
