Finishing Strong is the sharing of stories about people finishing strong – athletic events; personal achievements, even Shirley McClain’s song, “It’s not how you start but how you finish.”

Finishing Strong is individual value statements to teachers, parents and kids that offer the reminder. “When your students cross the finish line on (May 29) they will all be winners this year because of the committed and strategic teacher you have been. Thank you every day.”

Finishing Strong is courageous gentle conversations with those who have retired a little early. “You are wanting to walk out on (June 10th) and know you gave it your all this year. What a legacy you want to leave with your students and our school. Thank you for the difference you have made.”

Finishing Strong is a daily reminder of the passion for the work for all kids and that we know the job is not complete until the last day of school.

Finishing Strong is what you are saying and doing to be passionate and enthusiastic about the way everyone is committed to the end! As a leader you “walk the talk” and lead the cheering across the finish line.
