New Year – New Beginnings

two women talkingEarlier this month the four founders of Results Coaching Global communicated to you that RCG is now a subsidiary of Solution Tree, Inc. We are extremely excited to join the Solution Tree Family and want to assure you that this is a flawless transition with no disruption to products, services, and customer care. We are eager to continue to serve you!

One way we serve is to offer monthly messages for you to read and reflect upon, with the intent for continuous growth. With that in mind, here are three points from Adam Grant’s new book that offer possibilities for reflection. Read more about him and a few ideas from his book, Think Again, in our January Coaching Nugget. How are these three points speaking directly to you in your work and even in your personal life?

  1. “Embrace the joy of being wrong. When you find that you have made a mistake, it’s just a sign that you have discovered something new. Don’t be afraid to laugh at yourself. It helps you focus less on proving yourself – and more on improving yourself.”
  2. “Practice the art of persuasive listening. When we’re trying to open other people’s minds, we can frequently accomplish more by listening than by talking. How can you show an interest in helping people crystallize their own views and uncover their own reasons for change? A good way to start is to increase your question-to-statement ratio.”
  3. “Learn something new from each person you meet. Everyone knows more than you about something. Ask people what they’ve been rethinking lately, or start a conversation about times you’ve changed your mind in the past year.”

What’s resonating for you as you consider these three points? Want to learn more about these and many more ideas? Join us at one of our upcoming seminars, webinars or book studies.
